there are missles fired to the cities of Israel daily mostly in the south from the Gaza strip (arabs).
WHERE NOT TO BE:
the city Sderot is a good example for that (a few missiles every few hours), those are fired by Hamas and Islamic Jihad (arabs):

in the north you have Hezbollah (arabs), they kidnap soldiers and fire rockets every now and then:

WHERE TO BE:
Tel-Aviv on the other hand is relatively safe as the missiles can't reach there at the moment, and there were no terror attacks in months - only attempts.
Tel-Aviv is GREAT place to be for clubbing, you have a lot of pick up bars in Alanbi street and the night life is great, plus it is near the beach and you have Hilton and Sherton there to stay in.
of course in Tel-Aviv you might have a few suicide bombers blowing them selves up at busses or at pick up bars so there is security staff at every door but don't let that bring you down.

if you are up for an exotic sunny vacation, I would recommend Eilat:

Eilat is far at the south and there were no terror attacks for months so that is a good option too.
