You see pickles pretty regularly in Little League games.
It was used in baseball as well ... but as I grew up it was always "pickle." So we are located in Tucson, but myself and another co-worker are from Buffalo. We are the only two in the office saying pickle, everyone else says Monkey. So we started calling people all over the nation, looks like it's a Western New York thing.
