Dax i'm pretty sure all they meant with that notice was 'GET YOUR OWN FUCKING IDEAS FUCKHEAD!'.
They can't sue if somebody else goes out and shoots sex scenes with night goggles. It would be like whoever started the first talk show with a desk and guests suing all the others who came after.
And there were rip off movies of ET after it came out. TV shows are cloned all the time, what's that one that looked just like Married With Children?
