My hunch is the majority of people who agreed to participate were the types who ride bicycles to work anyway...
And of course it won't make any difference for the obvious reasons Will pointed out. But the fact that consumers are very pissed off at the oil companies to try to rally something this I think is the main issue ... of course, that as well will have no effect.
