Hi beks001

Under US law personal information is protected...

Yes it is true that US webmasters are required by law to have a record of their adult content, however it is only the 2257 record statement; if you are the "secondary producer" not the creator of the adult content thats all you need however you must state in you required 2257 statement where to find the required "custodian of records" statement.

Now if you are the creator of the adult content then you are required by US law as to make two statements available. The first statement is the 2257 statement and the "custodian of records" statement. Since the personal information in making such adult content is required, such parties will be required by law as to have such on hand and to keep such private information safe.

It is true that webmasters that do not create adult content are still producers, however they have no rights under US law(s) as to get the private information, since it is protected. Instead webmasters who are not manufacturers of such adult content are required to give a statement on where to find such records.

Since associate programs for the most part manufacture there own content; they are required to have the "custodian of records" statement(s) located in the 2257 statement on their websites.

Check you local laws and if you have the funds for legal consultations on the subject of the 2257 and the "custodian of records" statements I'm sure you will be just fine.

The last place to ask for legal help is on forums unless it is a legal forum !

Hope this helps,

.
