Gas Out May 15 backfires
Dateline: Los Angeles, CA. May 15, 2007.
In response to all the Internet hype regarding the proposed boycott from the purchase of gasoline on May 15, 2007, all gasoline service stations in Los Angeles County have closed their doors for this day.
Service station owner, Ralph Standard, stated, "we decided that if millions of people were going to boycott us for the day in order to force the major oil companies to lower their costs for gas, we would save them the trouble, and in the process, save ourselves a few dollars by closing for the day. I mean, why should I stay open and pay my employees if no one will be here anyway?"
Service station attendant, Billy Boyle, stated, "thanks a lot mother fuckers. Like I am getting paid enough to take another day off work with no pay."
Service stations are expected to re-open tomorrow, with a $.10 raise in prices across the board.
