"Paper Shoes" is pretty good, and Dig, though it's the commercial song on this CD, really does kinda rock. Diamonds and Coal is a little repetetive and predictable, but it has a good beat and some catchy riffs. Earth to Bella (parts one and two) are the real downfall on this, I think..

The other songs seem almost experimental.. and I like that
I have forced myself to listen to it too, but I'll never conclude that it is a "good" or even "decent" album after what they have released before. The worst thing Incubus ever did was let Dirk Lance go and hire Ben Kenny, he doesn't add anything to the band and approaches the bass as if it were a guitar. This album is little more than filler. Listen to both the music and lyrics and then compare them to their previous outings. It is a far less mature record than they have ever released. I am guessing that they released it because they were obligated to by their record company. Who ever is managing these guys these days is doing a piss poor job. They had them playing a 1000 person club in Toronto and then canceled the show because they were "sick" only to reschedule the show at a 15000 person place (which is where they should have been booked in the first place). If Incubus lasts more than an album or two longer, I think we will learn that a)they didn't want this album to come out, and b) that they want to switch record companies (sony is balls now).
