I spent a few days in Whitby about 5 years ago. It's very picturesque, and there is so much history there. Whitby played a prominent role in Bram Stoker's novel Dracula, and it is said that he began penning his famous vampire novel there. I took a walking tour at night and you could really get the feel of the novel from the buildings and cobblestone back streets.
I took lots of photos of the ruins of Whitby Abbey, and even used the gothic backdrop in some photochops, such as this one:
It's about time that I locate the video I shot from that trip. It was pretty cool.
Whitby is a great place to visit for anyone traveling to that part of England.
