Do you actually know any women? Seems pretty par for the course to me....
Friend is one of those words that gets used way too much. Maybe they were "friends" in the sense that he bought them stuff and did stuff for them, and now they figure maybe they can get a piece of his estate too.
... but really the guy was an idiot for going along with this whole thing to begin with. Family law is generally pretty fucked up everywhere.
