well, yes the 6 grand is something that i'd be pissed about too. i mean physically and mentally i guess. based on the story i'd say that guns drawn and the way they took you into custody sounds about right, shooting at the dogs seems a little excessive unless the caused the officers to fear for their personal safety and other means of controlling the dogs available to the officers had been exhausted. without being there i couldn't tell you for sure but i do have some experience in use of force and such and the sort. if you'd have any sort of case it may well be a property damage case depending on what they did to the house or potentially if one of the dogs was injured and killed. if the state deems they were acting in your best interest because of your mental state then you may very well be responsible for the response and costs of it.
