the exact answer right now is 15 years. That is potentially subject to change. This car as listed is a perfect candidate, 1992. The only thing is the car does have to pass a safety inspection depending on where you are going to plate it, which can be a real issue. Don't try this at home by yourself, get someone experienced in the process to help you.
I have a friend that does this stuff, and the amount of work required to get things done (from Japan to Montreal, inspected and ready to plate) is much more work than you would expect.
If you really want to get something done, the hookup is always possible.
