Tony, "'starting another diet" is as sure a recipe for failure to lose weight permanently as those surgeries are recipes for death or lifelong medical complications. It's absolutely the wrong way to look at it. How you could even consider a mini by pass, as you call it, already knowing what you know from firsthand experience about how others suffered with the more tested operation astounds me. At best it's just another perhaps slightly dangerous surgery that will put you right back to square one as sure as the other surgery.
