I'm a big Brunello fan as well. There are some new wines coming out of Chili that are pretty damn good too. I'm actually in the process of building a 12x16 foot wine cellar in the basement of my house in Cleveland. I live here in the summer and spend the rest of the time in Phoenix where I've been living for 6 years. I'll take some pics of the cellar in progress and if I ever get to DC, I'll let you know. Listen . . . most of my Barolos, Barbarescos and Brunellos are a bit young right now (like '99 & '01 Castelgiocondo Riserva), as are my classified growth Bordeaux, but one of my 99 Fanti's will be opened by the end of the year.
I don't have the money to buy these great wines by the case right now, but if I ever do, I'd like to build a cellar along the lines of what you're building. Fuck man . . . post pics of the cellar even if it is still under construction.
