This coming fall, I'm going to Portland to make a shit load of Pinot Noir. Some of the best Pinots come from the Willamette Valley in Portland.

Yeah, real red Burgundy is just too expensive. But these days, Willamette Valley Pinots aren't cheap either, nor are Cali Pinots, so I buy New Zealand for the varietal, or the occasional inexpensive but decent Pinot from Cali.
Petite Sirah is an interesting choice to blend--glad it worked well.
