If I were to start worrying about who a message board did or didn't ban, my life would have become about as sad as it could possibly be.
For myself, I have always learned far more from criticism than from praise. Not every critic has a point, but none should be dismissed out of hand and a critic should always be taken more seriously than a fan. If someone makes a valid point, dealing with it is better than shutting them up. If the person is wrong, either ignore them - the loud mouths will invariably do themselves more harm than they do to their target(s) - or put them straight. And it is far better knowing what someone is saying, than be left to wonder...
