and coming off saying "50% of the code is completed" will scare off any decent programmer because we have to ask ourselves the following questions:

why is the code half way completed? did the other programmer just suck and wasn't skilled enough to cut it which typically makes most of the existing code useless? was the client an asshole/douchbag to deal with causing the other coder to get fed up and walk out?
