Sorry DH, but I'm afraid I'm inclined to agree with the above and the dozens of others here who have echoed similar sentiments. I never had issue with you before, but your "So what - it makes money" attitude lately is beyond belief.
I've been around longer than many here, possibly even yourself DH. I've made a fair chunk of income over the past nearly 10 years, all of it the honest way. I've never promoted installs, never done mass unsolicited email spam, never paid for traffic from a broker that pops up my links overtop of other webmaster's links, never referred another webmaster to a company that I know are up to no good.
I'm not sure why you choose to not only defend it but boast about it and belittle others for not joining in with you. Your behavior doesn't make sense, but is obviously money-motivated. Money talks of course, but it would have been much better to see a guy like you defending the less questionable ways of making good money, because there are a lot of them.
You've built a very successful business and would seem to have the world by the tail. I'm not sure why you want to now publicly trash your reputation now, except maybe it's that you are under the impression that you are so big that you can afford to no longer give a shit what the adult community at large thinks of you.
I can name several people in this biz I can say with near-100% certainty their character is solid, straight up and honest. People I've come to know as excellent business people, reliable and I'll say it again... honest. I'd rather be counted among their circle than be associated with the sort of people and practices you've been defending lately.
I'm not pissing at your or trashing you DH, I'm just stating my opinion based on what I've read from you and about you lately, and hopefully giving you something to at least think about. Other than this I have no issue with you, so it's up to you whether you want to come back at me with a flurry of insults or a reply of a reasonable tone.
