i think email works best, it keeps better track of all that was said and it integrates better with my calendar, and other programs i use to organize my tasks and all.

bottom line is, if it ain't someone i closely work with, i prefer not using ICQ. but god, some people are slow on replying to emails, and i think the question i always ask myself when i send an email is: is he gonna see it? is it gonna be buried in spam?... people seem to give a higher pripority to their instant messengers and its unfortunate.
