Trey, you may be a lot of things, but I don't believe naive is one of them. WebmasterDirect's ransomware did hijack someone's computer and used deceptive install methods just like Zango does now. Do you really think anyone would click a button knowing their future surfing was going to be flooded constantly with popups and the only way to stop them was to pay $99 for something they had no interest in?
It was a 100% shady and with them getting negative exposure all over the web and all the heat from the feds, their webmaster ransomware/install affiliate program was shut down less than two months after being exposed on here. If you were in fact naive and didn't realize at the time all that the install did to someone's pc, you might want to convey that cause your stance of high morality now is complete bullshit.
