Since 80% of the forum uses the term, and understands that the United States of America, the United States, and America can be used interchangably; I think you're the one in the wrong.
It all depends on the context in which it is used, but since you don't understand what context is, you see all words as concrete. As a tip from me to you, all words are NOT concrete.
