Here in the US, a woman is raped, reports it to the police and, best-case scenario, the perpetrator is arrested, provided there is enough "evidence" to back up her claim. HOWEVER... once the case goes to trial, it's the same song and dance as this muslim bullshit. She is assumed to be lying... it is assumed that she consented and had regrets later... it is assumed she somehow, either by dress or action, "asked for it"... it is assumed that her claim is some type of "revenge" for some perceived wrongdoing by the man in question... it is assumed that her attacker is an innocent victim of false claims. The justice system stops just short of insulting her enough to arrest her for adultery (what the fuck kind of twisted, antiquated bullshit is THAT anyway?!?), but the basic premise is the same.... she is a woman; therefore, she is a lying temptress attempting to destroy the life and reputation of her male attacker by leveling bogus charges against him.

My point is that while we no longer arrest people for adultery in this country, a charge of rape is often treated nearly as shabbily here as it is there. In either case, the men who run things really need to pull their heads out of their collective asses and get with the program. Laws of this type encourage deviant behaviors such as rape... who in their right mind would report such a thing knowing what the consequences are?!? The message across the board is, "Bend over, take it dry, and learn to live with it because your only hope at anything even remotely resembling "justice" is a loaded .38 and REALLY quick reflexes."

I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming...
