Never mind making simple mistakes: I'm absent minded... well maybe not absent-minded exactly... my brain tends to think about several things at once. Unfortunately sometimes it stops thinking about whatever I'm actually doing and concentrates on how to take over the universe, redecorate the Sistine Chapel, or whatever.

Sometimes the results are just funny, like the time I unpacked the week's shopping and arranged everything neatly around the edges of the floor in the downstairs bathroom. I never did recall actually doing it. Once however, I managed to drive from Ealing in west London, 6 or 8 miles through heavy traffic, until I finally crashed into a traffic island in Knightsbridge. Most bizarre, is that at the time, I couldn't have driven that route without a map, even if I had intended to.
