Most conservatives aren't going to touch that issue because they have no defense for it.
You have to understand that religous groups now control Republicans, and that true conservatives don't believe in a lot of the crap that the government has done. Most of the "republicans" on the board aren't really republicans of old, they just watch Fox News and think Bill O'Reilly is "cool".
There was a day when Republicans stood for small government. Now they are basically liberals who are just religious.
