Yes, as does the PS3. But it's up the game manufactures not the console. Both consoles support textures up to 1080 and also upconvert 480p/720p to 1080i/p. I think virtual tennis 3 and nba homecourt are the only games on the 360 currently that use 1080 textures. None on the PS3, yet. Though by the end of this year I sure they'll be a quit a few for both consoles.

The only real advantage HDMI offers is content protection(DRM). The rest is just marketing hype.
The difference between HDMI 1.2 and 1.3 is the support of DD+ and TrueHD lossless audio. Unless you have high grade audio equipment there's little chance you'll hear the difference.
