Lookit this is SIMPLE. You have ALL the floors from the plane strike up falling with inertia into the building below. There is AIR in between each floor. As each floor is compressed expelling the air the air and debris is forced outward. Werent you a science major or physics or some shit? Clap your hands together by your face. Feel that? Not that that air pressure *s 4098504385034850348503498098 And you have your reason for debris and dust shooting outward away from each floor as the unfathomable weight comes down upon it. Seriously...... is this really this hard to figure out?
Do this go buy 4 concrete slabs 2.5ft by 2.5ft by 2" thick. Under each slab put some dust or fire ash. Support each one using a 8" piece of 2x4 on each corner. Now tie a string to one of the corner supports. Make sure you put this on like blacktop. Pull the string and see what happens. Now look around on the blacktop and see how far you find traces of ash and dust. Ridiculous.
