But I HATE the ones that go to ground! And heres why...
Its inpractical in a real fight situation. You go to ground - you get stamped.
I was coming home every session with black eyes, cuts, bruises, sprains, muscle injuries etc etc. The training was just TOO intense, especially if you have to go to work/classes/woman straight after.

What makes you think the a grappler is fightng by himself?
This is an old argument by those who don't know ground fighting. I have a better chance of controlling it on the ground than a fighter who doesn't. If you don't train for all ranges of fighting, then you will never be a complete fighter.
I'm training for my first MMA fight 5 days a week, and rarely get a black eye, contusions, etc... It's training, not all out fighting.
