Do either the opinions of Buchanan or Imus matter? What's the preoccupation with this story? OK.. the guy screwed up and got suspended/fired - who cares?
It's irrelevant what the public "thinks" about this - that will be decided by a broadcasting network and their sponsors.
There are far more relevant issues than what a religious freak and a chat show "celeb" have to offer...
