You guys are missing the point. Just because these drives exist now doesn't mean that they are more desirable. Especially for Randy who I suspect is going to do something more intensive than normal- HDV video editing for example. Why would you want to tax your computers USB capacity or worse, your computers overall power capacity like that. Are you really not going to be near a wall jack that can't power the hdd?
