Isn't it something like 60% of the US population are considered overweight? Ok, so this research says 16% of the population have a "gene problem". What excuse do those other 44% have? Do they all claim to be within the 16%?

Yes, of course, everyone has a different rate of metabolism. That doesn't mean it can be written off as an excuse to overindulge.

I can't exercise. At all. So basically my only calorie burning is the calories a person my size would burn throughout the day doing nothing. It really isn't much. Like 1200-1400 from what I figure. So to avoid getting HUGE, like many disabled people are, I try my best to stay under those calories. Hey, it isn't always easy, I'm not saying it is, but I DO it. I don't want to be huge, I want to stay healthy, so I take the necessary precautions that I HAVE to take to ensure that my "gene problems" don't destroy my health.
