Paul, news flash for you: the rules have changed, and you either have to provide model IDs (blacked out in all the good places) with your content or specifically forbid the use of the content by US based webmasters and companies.
There would appear to be no other choices at this point.
All the dancing around trying to find tricky sideways solutions to the issue won't help you out. Your competition will ship the IDs (as required) without issue, and they will take you business.
The goal posts have been moved. You have to adjust to them.
