Yeah you're right! It was so close that if it was a rattler it definitely would have given me a warning to back off.
He was at the end of the sidewalk when I stepped out of my apartment all curled up, maybe 3 feet to the right of the walkway I come down.
Creepy creepy creepy. I wasn't worried about it trying to bite me, I know better, but snakes just make my skin crawl.
