I don't defend her decision not to attend any of the conventions because there's nothing TO defend.
Attending is either a "need to attend" or "want to attend" event.
PK certainly doesn't "need" to attend - with her longevity in the business, advertisers and contacts come to her so it certainly falls into the "want to attend" category and I understand her not attending.
I wouldn't care if you and 10 of your finest looking friends had honey dripping off your boobs and the moon was shimmering off your oil covered butt cheeks... if you told me to come with you to an all day spa followed by a night of bar hopping - I'd tell ya' that I'm was going to stay at the house, order a pizza and see if there are any pay-per-view boxing on the tube cause all day spa's followed by bar hopping just ain't my thing.
I wouldn't need to "defend" that decision any more than I would need to defend why I don't enjoy eating liver and onions!
I'm at the point in my career that I don't "need" to attend any of the shows and, if I remember correctly, I think the last one I attended was 2 or 3 years ago but I'd like to get 1 or 2 more shows under my belt just because I "want" to meet a few folks I've yet to have a drink or break bread with.
I've known Colin and Khan (from Ynot) since 97 but never met them. I've never met Sleazy MissEve or Peaches but would like to.
Not because I'll ever do any business with them - chance are I never will, but they certainly fall into my "want to" category.
Now I think I'm gonna' have to add MicroChick to that list so if I see you at one of the shows, I'll buy you a drink and we can chat..... you dipping your boobs in honey is optional
