I use certain rules and hints to help me spell certain words. For example:

receive = i before e except after c

principle vs principal = pupil's pal

seperate vs separate = separate part

You get the idea.

One word I have to spell check every time is occasion. Is there any tip you use to help you remember how many c's and esses there are in it?
