If suddently we'd only get 300EUR/mo for 6 months after being fired like it is in the UK, if I remember correctly, the unemployment rate would most definately drop from 9 to 3-4 percents.

Exactly, you can't afford to keep doing that. France is fucked economically, just gonna take a while for the people to realise it, your politicians know, they tried to change things abit, you all went on strike.
