Wow is right and I would have to also add a "what a relief!!" That is what I felt with an overwhelming "shew"! I was amazed at how civilized it actually was. hehe. I mean never having been to a show and considering well you know it is the porn industry and all... I can't tell you what my head had envisioned but I know you all can guess!!. I'm not saying of course that we didn't let our hair down or shirts up here and there but I was very pleased to have learned something too!!. I too would like to thank several people and also the sponsors of the event. I can appreciate the time and money that you all put into it and well Thanks man. I really enjoyed talking to Z and his friends on Friday night. Great fun and good conversation too. And playing poker on the last night was good too because it helped change my mind about a certain panel member who I now think is not so bad!! He knows who he is!!
One of the best conversations I had though was late night early Sunday morning with a colorful man, his wife and two techs from Florida and one more fellow that was very in the know on politics. Please don't be angry with Angel because I warned you I was terrible with names!! Anyway the colorful man was the fellow that had lil red highlights in his very blond hair and was taking photos at the poker game. This guy had some IMO healthy yet extreme ways of viewing some important issues and I like him. I know I would never want to piss him off though. LOL Or Knock on his door with anything other than thin mint cookies!!! We're talking a deadly mistake ..
Seriously though I wish more of us had the same thought processing and stood up for our beliefs like he does. We might actually stop bitching and actually doing something about it!! You rock!!
Seminars Seminars Seminars... I gotta mention those... Todd is so cool he actually went with me to the Newbie one that Connor held from Ynot. Great Job dude...and in it I gotta tell ya I was more than impressed by the then very strange looking man named Tom in that seminar. He seemed to me to have great brain power and spoke with reason and experience on issues like the Free Speech Coalition. Which by the way I hope all of you support. I remember being somewhat surprised by his obvious intelligence but his odd way of dressing. I know shame on me but come on people he was wearing a friggen ski hat on his head in the desert for God sakes. lol Well little did I know but it was actually the Tom from xbiz Hymes. Oh shit!!
Well I did confess some about that with him on the next day as he and I sat next to each other at the very cool Keith Ferrazzi motivational speaker show. Let me say and for the record he was looking much more like a normal and sane, well dressed guy then. lol I have no idea what or why the first day thing was but its all good and this man knows his shit and he does all of it with genuine care and fair thought. Thanks.
One of the best and most profound things I witnessed happened during that keynote seminar. Keith Ferrazi was trying to motivate us by pointing out how rare it was to actually go into work everyday and actually enjoy it. So he asked all of us that question (expecting few to raise their hands) do we get to enjoy our days. And well I knew my answer was absolutely so I raised my hand. Well so did everyone and I mean EVERYONE else .. Hes like "oh come on" and he asked us one more time. And again we all emphatically raised our hands. Wow Hallmark moment!! and so he's up there on the stage and he paused for a moment and simply said " Wow, thats fucking awesomel!" Woohoo! and indeed it is cool and I hope all of you remember how lucky we are and his message which was to build relationships, with honesty and genuine care and the business will then come too.
The final seminar and probably one I got the most out of believe it or not was no other than are you ready for this, the very hung over Rico from PanchoDog. It was a designer seminar. And I learned so much from his imput that is worth a huge thanks. He has a new technology coming out that is like that of the hot and cold overlay but better and I want you to let me know when its available even in beta..loll Thanks for all the tips Rico.
My first show is now in the past but I gotta tell you, I am confident I'm going to see all of you next year because I'm liking what I am seeing and I am proud of the hard work we do. Todd is very right about us ... this team and this next year is really gonna be our year ... join us!! See you in Vegas.. I can't wait! My apologies if I have forgotten to mention you. It will come back to me as the cloud of alcohol begins to dissipate!
