We have been proactive regarding this for a long time. All Adult Alchemy promo material (from banners to full page ads) is softcore for the exact reason you mention in your initial post.
You do have a good point with the FHGs though. We provide FHGs so the affiliate does not have to worry about 2257. As far as making thumbs we will be sure to take that into consideration going forward.
