Look, the world sucks but do you really think our kids are less safe now than they were 100 or 200 years ago? Do you really worry that your children will starve to death? Or how about die of smallpox or dysentery? How about have the lord of the land you live on decide you need to leave. Or are you going to be so destitute that they will have to go work the fields for 12-16 hours a day at the ripe old age of 8 to help pay the bills. Will you need to sell a couple of them to keep your home?
