Its a lot different in LA, then anywhere else i've been for the food industry. I have friends that have worked and say how shitty it is and how little they get paid, but i still dont understand why they dont get a better job, their not in high school
my problem is I feel bad for these people even tho i shouldnt. however, there has been 2 times where i left a shitty tip (like a buck) and they actually chase after me.
I think the real reason I tip at most places that i get shitty service is because I go back there often. If i rarely went there, i probably would of stiffed her on a tip, but Im there pretty often (Jerrys Deli). I would hate to come back and have her as my waitress again. ill just leave a little heated and let it go.
HOWEVER, when i go somewhere i normally dont and this happens, its a lot easier to leave nothing... btw, if you are to leave $0 WRITE ZERO because this whore decided to put a "1" infront and i never noticed until i was going thru reciepts and wanted to check.. luckly got it back from amex.
nonetheless, I remember seeing some shit on TV a while back about a fake food services union and how they want to make a manditory 20%... that is SHIT.
