Looking at going for the Cybernet Expo in June and coming in a few days earlier. Is their shopping/restraunts etc around the hotel that the show is taking place?

We are mid 20's, like to go out for some drinks, but not the huge dance clubs etc. Trying to decide if I should book a room someplace else the first few nights then head to the show hotel or just stay at the show hotel the entire time.
