That's basically what you want to do. Apparently wires come loose inside and you have to (for lack of a better word) 'HIT' the monitor so the wires go back together and then it fixes monitors.

At least that's what my old man did to our TV as a kid and it always seemed to work.

before i go bashing in my pc at 12 at night, how come the videos work in real player, vlc and others but not windows media?

but yeh usually hitting something in the right places gets it right lol
