Several reasons:
1) My largest single source of traffic by far for some time now has been the simplenudes . com toplist - and only sites with unique content can be listed there.

Call me crazy, but I think it's kinda fun to converse with photographers from around the world, shop around for content that matches my site's niche, and make it my own, rather than solely promote other people's sites. As to why I chose this particular niche - I'm an outdoorsy guy - I love naked girls, I love nature, why not combine the two?
One thing I'd like to emphasize is that I am trying to have it both ways - selling my own site content as well as others. My CyberAge sales have never been that spectacular (though the retention rate is astounding - once people sign up they almost never leave). It's my plummeting CCBill affiliate sales that really have me perplexed. I could usually count on an affiliate sale to femjoy . com or met-art . com every 2 or 3 days, but for the last 2 weeks - nothing. I just bought a subscription myself yesterday to make sure my affiliate links were working properly.
