i can understand being a little overprotective but they arent a host .. their liability is slim slim.. I have never heard of a registrar being sued over something a customer did with his/her domain.

I dont expect wild west , but i also dont expect to get denied buying a domain when i can reg it fine anywhere else. if it had a questionable word i might understand a bit more.
