I had jury duty a couple of years ago when I was still working for a TV station editing news and tried to get out of it through that angle and I got picked anyway. It was a murder trial whee a guy was stabbed 42 times by his "friend" that was staying there and it wasn't a guilt or innocence trial but a 1st or 2nd degree murder trial.
It's pretty tough sitting there while the medical examiner is on the stand going through each stab wound individually with pictures of the body on the giant projector. It was a short trial that only lasted a few days but it was an experience I'll never forget...
