We all choose the level of ethics we wish to incorporate into our own businesses, and judging by some of your past posts I've read I would hazard a guess that you have a bit more moral fiber than you sometimes let on. I'm sorry but I 100% disagree with your above statement. If that were true I would not have stayed in this business 9 seconds let alone 9 years.
There are plenty of individuals in our community whom I have enjoyed doing business with, I wouldn't hesitate to invite most of them into my home or spend time socializing with. I would not be saying that if I thought everyone was basically a thief devoid of any ethics or moral compass.
Your rationale is flawed I'm afraid. You were attempting to say that it takes a thief to succeed big in adult, in attempts of basically saying that what Lars is doing is okay because that's the way things are done. So everyone should leave the guy alone for that reason.... but I'm sorry, it just doesn't wash. There are simply too many examples of successful people who aren't screwing everyone they can to get ahead and stay ahead, and I for one am thankful for that.
