Not exactly. Companies like Symantec are bitching mostly because Vista is good enough, secure enough that their software is now closer to a strong second line for defense rather than the first line of defense. Basically, Microsoft has done a good enough job that the 3 plus billion dollar anti-virus business might actually take a hit.
Oystein, there is a driver for your printer (you have to poke around HP site) but it may not print duplex properly. You may also have issues not so much with the printer but with the hardware you are using to do the wireless part, you need to look at that more closely. The issues with your wireless headset might fall into the same category as well.
As for software, I have to say that most companies have had months if not a year to work on making themselves Vista compatible. Many have chosen not to or didn't feel like they needed to make the investment, and now you are basically orphaned by those companies.
The biggest abuser in the "dragging their feet" battle is Apple, who are working diligently to NOT support Vista any time soon, attempting to hurt Microsoft. For this reason alone I wouldn't buy a Mac, because I can see Apple really trying to screw people over at this point.
