We do quite well with RSS, but we know how to use it to its full potential.

What we see is that alot of affiliates like the concept of RSS feeds for their blogs/sites, they really have no idea how to use them. A great example is sending a certain niches traffic to a rss feed that has nothing to do with the niche the affiliate has the traffic for.

Also so many webmaster has gotten so lazy that they think installing wordpress, grabbing a bunch of feeds and ploping them into the system is going to make them rich. Like tgps, mgps, submitting galleries, etc..
Bloggin/RSS feeds or syndication takes time and work to make profitable. Traffic #'s do increase nicely when people use RSS, its just that most need to take the time and to do the same type of work they would do with any other site building.

Simple formula;

Like Traffic to Like Blog = Better Convertions, garbage in = garbage out
Dont send teen or NN traffic to Facial Abuse, Its going to be hard to convert

Add RSS Feeds to a Existing site as a add on for auto updating, and fresh rotated content.

Create a Blog that pulls RSS feeds to populate the content on the site, if you want to look like everyone else use the feeds right out of the box. If you want to make money think of creative ways to make those feeds look different then the other guys using them.

Put the time and effort into building a good looking blog, or use a cms like joomla to add all the rss feeds. Create a dynamic site that visitors like to come to and stay at. Using the out of the box WP theme will not get you anywhere.


RSS is not the be all to end all, its just a new tool to help everyone make more money. Lazy broke webmaster using standard rss feeds feeding a out of box design will still be lazy broke webmasters. Its not a Get Rich Quick thing, it takes work like everything else in this business.


And Most importantly USE YOUR FREAKING BRAIN, with some time and effort rss feeds can do wonders for your bottom line and really do make life easier for webmaster ( but harder for us that run affilate systems)

Another real important note, affiliates if your having problems, dont know exactly how to use RSS, have questions or comments, or want to have your traffic anylized, Contact the affiliate system reps or owners. If they truely know RSS they will be able to help you figure out why you are having problems.

I know we do this for all our affiliates, and im sure alot of other companies would or are doing the same.
