Example, we may never truly know why Rochard left the bunny factory and started working in the cherry fields. At least Lensman didn't exactly bury the announcement in long words and fawning generalities.

I guess not, the only jobs i have had in my life were in the restaurant industry and a short 3 month stint selling cars. I both fields when you were fired you were.... fired. Well at the car dealership they would even fire you in front of everyone and curse you on the way out.
i guess a lot of people like the sugar coating. I think it is all bullshit, if you got a better job for more money, good for you. If you got fired, you got fired. I think everyone winds up reading between the lines anyway, i don't see the point in the bullshit campaigns with these situations, it just makes all involved look like morons, if it is an accepted practice or not. And if it is none of our business then just say you are no longer working with company a an now you are with b. easy enough.
