For per signup programs, getting paid $35-45 per signup is VERY generous considering the surfer might cancel after the trial. The sponsors are taking a big risk here and they need to minimize the risk factor by making money on the upsell, cross-sell and exit consoles. While you might not like it, you need to realize that these sales contribute to your fat per signup checks.
For revshare programs, I tend to believe that all sales should be split according to the percentage. If you're promised 50/50, I do believe this should be 50/50 on exits, upsells, cross-sells.
Either way, if your not happy with the sponsors keeping the exits, work on a no-console deal, you'll get a couple dollars less per signup but at least they won't profit from the exits.
Or if you have volume traffic/signups, you can pretty much negotiate a deal with the sponsors to keep the exits. Talk to them, they're very understanding to your needs.
