Exactly why people like him.
I actually read his second book, The Audacity of Hope. Not bad. Usually stuff written by politicians bore the shit out of me, but it actually made me want to vote for him. Especially the parts where he was talking about the difficulties of separating religious beliefs from politics. And some of the votes he's made where he personally wanted to vote the other way, but the people he represented wanted him to vote the other way. I know that might make him seem 'weak' according to the current administration, but I think that shows he's willing to stand up for the people, and not just do what he thinks would be best for all of us. Or if anything he's really good at writing subtle propaganda and got me swayed, at least that would be an actual sign of intelligence. (As opposed to me, who just needed to use the spell checker to spell intelligence).
