This "lobbying" for Harken drilling rights by the US Ambassador was gittin kinda panicky *s*... The Ambassador pretty much threatened the Supreme Court President by writing a letter to him saying he would ensure this country "got a black eye in the US media" if they did not come down in favor of Harken
The Court President, who was not the trial judge, issued this letter to the public, made no comment and stayed outta the decision process.
Looks like the Admin were used to gittin their own way in US courts, but they forgot they are not "dealing" in the US
